Operation Jericho - Zumbrota

Overview

Operation Jericho was a 7-day community-wide prayer initiative in Zumbrota that concluded on November 28th, 2014, the day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday).  The Operation Jericho in Zumbrota was the first Frontline Initiative done under FreedomOne and ended up creating the momentum that led to the formation of PRAY Zumbrota in April 2015.

The Operation Jericho in Zumbrota was birthed out of a prayer group led by Jeff Bremer.  Other members of the prayer group included Pat & Joanne Cluth, Julie Bremer, Wendy Bremer, and Dale & Margo Bremer.  The underlying mission of Operation Jericho was to break the spiritual strongholds over Zumbrota that were holding back freedom, restoration, hope, revival, transformation and unity from taking place in the city and surrounding area.  For a more detailed account of what inspired Operation Jericho listen to the background testimony by Jeff Bremer.

Several gathered together in the six evenings leading up to Operation Jericho many gathered in the Covered Bridge to pray for Zumbrota.  On Black Friday around 100 people gathered below the Covered Bridge to pray, worship and listen to speakers to prepare everyone's heart and set the tone for what would follow. With hearts prepared, some set out on a 2-mile prayer walk around either the east or west side of the city, and others headed out on a 30-mile prayer drive around the east or west outskirts of Zumbrota.  After completing the prayer walk/drive everyone gathered at Our Saviors Church and boarded a trailer which was pulled down Main Street back to Covered Bridge Park. While enroute via a police escort down Main Street, everyone united in worship to the song "We Exalt The".  Once arriving back at Covered Bridge Park, everyone came together for a final prayer, climaxing with the blowing of 7 trumpets and a triumphant united shout for the Lord to move in Zumbrota.
