"Get Ready" Conference

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the "Get Ready" Conference being orgnanized by a particular church or denomination?

NO.  The "Get Ready" Conference is being organized and led by FreedomOne and a local leadership team made up of Brian & Sherre Johnson (Pocahontas, IA) and Dan & Angie Stickrod (Manson, IA).

Are there ways I can help promote or volunteer to help with the conference?

YES.  One quick way to get the word out on the conference is by sharing the Facebook event page and inviting them to the event.  If you would like to learn more ways you can help promote or volunteer to help with the conference you can email Angie Stickrod or call her at (515) 571-2509.

Is it possible to come for just part of the conference?

YES.  However, the conference will be progressive in nature, each session building off the previous session and will culminate with the evening session.

What should I bring to the conference?

We encourage you to bring your Bible along with a notepad and a pen for taking notes.

Are children allowed at the conference?

Though we care deeply about children, in order to keep the conference free of distractions and as a courtesy to other guests, we ask that you not bring children under 13 to the conference.

Is daycare provided at the conference?

NO. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide daycare for your children.

The conference looks like a long day, will there be any breaks?

YES.  The conference is a full day but you will be so engaged the day will go by very fast.  Besides the lunch and supper breaks there will be other breaks between speakers and breakouts along with times of worship.

If the Conference is free, how is it being paid for?

While upfront expenses for this conference are being covered by private individuals and businesses in conjunction with  FreedomOne, any gifts are welcomed and appreciated and will provide the opportunity hold similar events in other communities. Freewill offerings will be accepted at the conference.  Checks can be made payable to FreedomOne.

What is the "ministry time" mentioned in the schedule all about?

There will be times at the conference, especially at the end, where our speakers and our prayer team will be available to pray for you.

What are the qualifications of your speakers?

We are not qualified by the standards of the world, however, like many used by God in the Bible our resumes do not necessarily stand out.  We believe that in our weakness He will be made strong.

What happens in the event of inclement weather?

In case of inclement weather we will email out a cancellation notice.  A cancellation notice will also be posted on WHO radio, KCCI, WOI, and the "Get Ready" Conference Facebook page.
